Anna and Gerhard | Arbor Crest Winery | Spokane, Washington

I try not to play favorites, but Arbor Crest Winery weddings hold a special place in my heart. Maybe it was because I shot the first wedding of my career here. Maybe it’s because of the way the early evening light falls at just the right angle through the reception tent. Maybe it’s because Spokane is my hometown and it’s always so much fun to photograph weddings at all my old stomping grounds.

Maybe? It’s because these two humans are magic. I swear to you that first image was not posed, at all. It’s high time I shared the images from this stunning Arbor Crest Winery wedding. Enjoy.

“When searching for a wedding photographer, I wanted to pick someone that was highly talented and also someone who when I looked at their previous work, I would’ve been pleased if those had been my photos. There’s always that fear, though, that you won’t end up liking your own photos as much as someone else’s. None of those fears played out with Anna. She made us feel natural and like ourselves during each of our shooting sessions (engagement and wedding), and was able to turn the normal people we are into pure magic!
