It’s not often that I get to shoot a black gown – the rich shadows of this dress against the gold setting sun are mesmerizing. While most brides will opt for a lighter gown for their wedding day – an engagement session or formal welcome dinner would be the perfect time to rock a black gown if you’re drawn to this bold, elegant look.
This editorial was photographed just outside of Bend, Oregon – the desert landscape could feel harsh, but with the addition of soft autumn light and our beautiful model, it was a perfect balance. The warm neutral tones pair so beautifully with the bold dress and gold accents.
