Anna Peters is a photographer living and working out of the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and available for weddings worldwide.
I've always been an artist, but I traveled a roundabout path to find photography as my preferred medium. Trained as a classical ballerina for nearly two decades, I developed my craft as a film photographer while studying dance and anthropology during university.
My ballet training has instilled in me a profound appreciation for the elegance of the human form, and my work is deeply connected to my love for the human story.
On a wedding day, as with life in general, I find it is often the subtle, in-between moments that hold the most magic. A sister, reaching down to adjust the drape of a veil. A grandmother sitting in the front row, a twinkle in her eye. The split-second look of deep pride shared between parents as they watch their son exchange vows.
I consider myself, first and foremost, a storyteller - stringing together a series of these moments, both subtle and joyful, into a collection of images that becomes more than the sum of its parts.
I work closely with each couple throughout the planning process, observing their unique dynamic. Together, we create a plan and photography timeline for the wedding day that reflects their vision and values. My ultimate goal is for my clients to feel free to savour each aspect of their wedding as it unfolds, without worrying about which moments are being captured.
