Welcome, I’m Anna: photographer, explorer, all-around creative soul. My path to weddings is a little unexpected, but looking back it feels just right. Prior to founding Anna Peters Photography in 2014, I spent nearly two decades training as a classical ballerina, with a degree in Anthropology thrown in the mix. During that time, I found myself increasingly enamored with art history, visual storytelling, and the interwoven nature of our creativity and our humanity. People are beautiful. Life is complicated. I’m here for the whole messy adventure. At their best, photographs cut through all the noise, and help us stay centered. They are potent reminders of what matters most.

I live in Seattle and am quite partial to that particular shade of green we've got going on over here. I also believe in the power of vibrant, life-giving food. When I'm not shooting or traveling, you can often find me by the stove in the midst of making kimchi, herbed bone broth, or some other culinary project. Dance is still in my bones - it never really leaves you.

I'm grateful that my work has been featured in top wedding publications including Seattle Bride Magazine, Style Me Pretty Weddings, and Once Wed, among others... but I care way more about what your grandma thinks of me. You can see what my past clients have to say, here.
