Even though I’ve lived on the West Coast for my entire life, it hasn’t been until recently that I started exploring California. I spent the bulk of my childhood and early adulthood pursuing ballet, which always had me looking East, towards New York, Chicago – the big dance hubs in America. So last fall, when photography work took me to San Francisco, I booked my returning flight out of L.A. and drove the coast.
